Rotate is to energy as stop is inertia

Inertia means a property by virtue whereby a body continues to move in its state of motion or a state of rest.

It can also be defined as a force the keeps object in the same position or continue to move in the same direction.

Further Explanation

For proper explanation, for an object to move or rotate, energy must be supplied to it, but if the object stops, then inertia of rest is established.

This analysis also defines newton's first law of motion, which is also called the law of inertia. The law states that an object at rest will continue to be in a state of rest and an object in a state of motion will also remain in a state of motion with the same speed and same direction unless a force act on the object.

This question is based on analogy. In analogy, a certain relationship is given and students will be asked to identify another similar relationship from provided alternatives.

The analogy question is to test student knowledge and how fast they reach conclusion, that is, how fast they can conclude concisely and accurately.

Therefore, the correct answer to the question is inertia.

9. What is a clause?
kirill115 [55]

Answer:

b

Explanation:

A clause is the part of a sentence that necessarily includes a verb to express the action of the sentence and also a subject that performs that action. While the verb is always explicitly states, the subject can be understood and not mentioned in the written sentence.

A clause, however, does not always make sense on its one. An independent clause can indeed stand alone as a sentence, but a dependent clause only forms part of a sentence and does no make sense by itself.

1. Does the poem exhibit the speaker's love for her father or her hatred of him? Explain. 2. What type of man does the speaker m
kkurt [141]

Answers:

1. The poem exhibits the speaker's hatred for the father: Lines 6, 7, 41 revealed that she had wanted to kill her father and was always scared of him. She won't want to kill someone she loved. So, the poem depicted hatred for the father. In lines 1-4 the poet compares herself to a foot that was stuck in her father's black shoe. She makes use of this imagery to imply and explain how she has been crushed by her father emotionally for 30 years.

2. She married a man who was just like her father. She termed the man - a vampire who made her to suffer for seven years. The man brought back the memories of what she passed through in the hands of her father.

3. She characterized them as vampires. The "Daddy" of the last line refers to her father as a "b***". At the close of the poem, she decides to stop chasing her father.

4. The title "Daddy" possesses an intimate and loving emotional connection, a father-daughter association. But that kind of association was contradicted in the poem but rather depicted a tyrant father.

5. No! This is because the poem didn't depict any form of forgiveness. It was written out of a battered, bruised and betrayed heart and didn't depict the need for true forgiveness.

Explanation:

“Daddy”, a poem written by Sylvia Plath. Plath was a famous American poet and novelist who wrote ‘Daddy’, a very famous literary piece. This poem speaks about her father and her ordeal in his hands. It also presents the speaker’s grief over the loss of her father. It was first published in 1965.

Read this excerpt from “First Generation” of Dreaming in Cuban.
Phoenix [80]

Answer:

B. enemies or antagonists

Explanation:

"Dreaming in Cuban" is a novel written by Cristina Garcia and it tells the story of three generations of a Cuban family, Cuban revolution, family affairs, emigration etc.

In this particular excerpt I can't seem to find the underlined word, but judging by given answers, I'm assuming it's a noun and "adversaries" seem like the only noun whose meaning might be unfamiliar to many.

Basically, adversary means antagonist, if we're talking about literature or film, the rival of the main character. In a broader sense, it denotes a rival, an enemy, person or thing that opposes someone.
