Even if it may be appealing to live in a calm, serene neighborhood, that is not how society has operated in the previous few hundred years and will not change. The city has both positives and downsides of these attachments, despite being the most touched by humans. For example, it may be more valuable to be close to a work, have access to public transportation, and have plenty of space to unwind that would not be possible in an neighborhood. Regarding the drawbacks, while it would be nice to have personal space and not hear the sounds of noise pollution, I believe the worries will pass at night, when I can sleep and relax. While air pollution is a problem, I will mostly be remaining inside buildings because of it.
I'm not entirely sure but I think it would be A because usually a character that is not the main voice but more of a sidekick is meant to keep the main character's quest or mission from getting too boring. Logically he/she would be meant to be a funny character to lighten up the mood of the book.
