SecФ=2 is the same as cosФ=1/2 because sec and cos are inverse functions.
So when solving cosФ=1/2, you need the find the angles where the cos graph equals 1/2. Generally you're supposed to memorize some angle values for your trig functions and this is one of them. The cosine graph is equal to 1/2 when Ф=60° or pi/3 in radians. The answer is also 300° or 5pi/3 radians because cosine is also positive in the fourth quadrant.

Hope this helps<span />

Sec <span>Ф = 2

We know, Cos </span>Ф = 1 / Sec <span>Ф
Cos </span><span>Ф = 1/2
</span>Ф = Cos⁻¹ (1/2)
<span>Ф = 60   [ Cos 60 = 1/2 ]

In short, Your Answer would be: 60 degrees

What is the vertex of g(x) = –3x2 + 18x + 2?
blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

(3,29)

Step-by-step explanation:

There is a formula that can be used to find the x-value of the vertex of the parabola. This formula is x=\frac{-b}{2a}

We have the function g(x)=-3x^2+18x+2

From this function, we can find that

a=-3\\b=18\\c=2

We can plug in our know values into the formula to get

x=\frac{-18}{2(-3)\\} \\x=\frac{-18}{-6} \\\\x=3

Then we can plug in our x-value to find the y-value of the vertex

g(3)=-3(3)^2+18(3)+2\\\\g(3)=-3(9)+54+2\\\\g(3)=-27+54+2\\\\g(3)=29

This means that the vertex would be (3,29)

What is the measure of angle 1? Put the number only.
Katarina [22]

Answer:

angle 1 = 120 degree

Step-by-step explanation:

75 degree + 45 degree = angle 1 (sum of two opposite interior angles is equal to the exterior angle formed)

120 degree = angle 1

Calculate the max shear of cantilever balcony 2m wide 0.2m deep and 1.5m length.
Vikki [24]

Answer:

14.4 kN

Step-by-step explanation:

cantilever balcony 2m wide 0.2m deep and 1.5m length.

= 2 x 0.2 x 1.5

= 0.6 m³

weight of the balcony

= 0.6 x 24

= 14.4 kN.

therefore the max shear 14.4 kN and is acting at support.
