The thought of traveling across seas, fighting currents, and risking your life for research can seem like a wild adventure to the average person, well not me. I've spent the last five years searching the oceans high and low for answers to one of the greatest mysteries, The Titanic. The story starts as I step outside of my small Manhattan apartment, then only do my adventures begin.

Write"s" for a complete sentence. Write"f" for a fragment.Sentences have two parts. There is a naming part and there is a tellin
defon

Answer and Explanation:

A fragment is a group of words that looks like a sentence but lacks something essential to make sense. We can easily classify the groups of words below by noticing if there is something missing.

1. We had pizza for lunch - S

2. Snowed last night - F --> Even though we can understand what this group of words says, it is missing the "naming part". We do not have a subject.

3. The basement was cold  - S

4. The wooden fence - F ---> Now we are missing the "telling part". What about the wooden fence? We know the wooden fence is the topic, but we are not told anything else about it.

5. The flowers grew in the garden - S

6. The doorbell - F ---> The same case here as in number 4. What about the doorbell? The telling part is missing.

7. Dogs can do many tricks - S
