2. When he decided to leave the circus of horrors where he performed and hide in a Butterfly Circus truck.

3. Mr. Mendez's conversation about how Will (the man who looks like a caterpillar) can do more about being a freak and the moment when he realized he could swim.

4. He started to present himself as a circus attraction, because of his skills and talents and not because of his syndrome and appearance

5. At the beginning Will is a sad and melancholy man, because of everything that happens and how he is treated in the horror show he participates in. However, when he decides to join Butterfly Circus, he finds himself in an environment where he is treated well and encouraged to be a better person. This makes him change the way he sees himself, the way he behaves and his mood, being a happy person.

Explanation:

Butterfly Circus is an independent short film, set during the Great Depression. In this story we are introduced to Will, who has no arms or legs and performs at the city's horror show. However, this is an environment that makes Will sad, melancholy and hopeless, because he is very badly treated and does not see himself as someone who can do anything but present himself as a freak.

Until he decides to join Butterfly Circus, a circus where people are encouraged to discover their talents and live happily, satisfied with themselves. That's what Will does.

Which topics related directly to Themes developed in Frankenstein
Rasek [7]

One of the themes developed in Frankestein is the "dangerous knowledge"  going beyond human limits to create a new being. Nowadays, great organizations are working secretly on developments that change human beings phisically and the way of relating with other.  Secondly, we find the theme that pervates all the novel which is "monstrosity". From this concept we  can say that author presents 1. A monster rejected by its unnatural and grotequesque appearance and 2. A monster that can be any person in day to day rejected by society just for looking and acting diferently.

What type of figurative language is ''november'' by Alice Cary?
Mashutka [201]

Full Question:

What type of figurative language is used in the first and second lines of "November" by Alice Cary?

A) Hyperbole

B) Simile

C) Onomatopoeia

D) Personification

Answer:

The correct answer is D) Personification

Explanation:

First, let's take a look a the referenced lines below:

"The robin will wear on his bosom"

"A vest that is bright and new"

Notice that the poet states that a bird will wear a vest. Ideally, only humans wear clothing.

This means that an animal has been ascribed a human attribute. Whenever this happens with an animal, place or thing, personification has been utilized.

So by way of definition, personification is a figurative language involving the attribution of human nature or character to an animal, place, or thing.

Another interesting example of personification is

"The summer is here. The sun gladly grins ear to ear."

The sun is an inanimate object it is not supposed to be able to grin or be glad. But the meaning is not lost on the reader because, unlike winter, during summer, there is a lot of sunlight.

  • We couldn't have opted for Hyperbole. This is simply creating an impression by exaggeration. Please see: brainly.com/question/20767765
  • We also couldn't have opted for Simile because there was no comparison in those lines. Please see:  brainly.com/question/20767765
  • Onomatopoeia is the wrong answer. It is a literary device wherein words which imitate the natural sound of an animal or a thing is used to create a more effective description. See definition here: brainly.com/question/21505822
