The length of the rectangle is 60 cm, when width is changed to 15 cm so that the  rectangle  have the same area as rectangle 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Find Area of Original sheet

Length 1 = 64 cm

Width 1 = 15 cm

Area 1 = ?

The formula used is:

Area = Length \times Width

Putting values:

Area\,\,1 = Length\,\,1 \times Width\,\,1\\Area\,\,1 = 64 \times 15\\Area\,\,1 = 960\,\,cm^2

So, Area of original sheet is Area 1 = 960 cm^2

Now, the width is changed to 16 cm so,

Width 2 = 16 cm

The area of rectangle is same as area 1 so,

Area 2 = Area 1 = 960

We need to find the length so,

Length 2 = ?

Using the above formula:

Area\,\,2 = Length\,\,2 \times Width\,\,2\\960=Length\,\,2 \times 16\\Length\,\,2= \frac{960}{16}\\Length\,\,2 = 60\,\,cm

So, length of the rectangle is 60 cm, when width is changed to 15 cm so that the  rectangle  have the same area as rectangle 1.

15% of 25600(8350 from 33950) =25,600 15% of 25600= 3840.
25% of 3500. (32450 minus 33950= 3500 25% of 3500 =875.

Add the three and you get $5550. Of course you could have eliminated step two and three by anticipating a tax that far exceeded the other choices which were way to low to even consider.
Work this out for yourself. It is simple and fun when you get the hang of it.

givi [52]
10in would be the appropriate scale factor for the drawing. 2000 is 10x200. If each inch represents 200 feet, then you would need 10 to reach the desired scale factor of the original building
