How to put percent into decimal

Mathematics
1 answer:
fiasKO [112]3 years ago
6 0

Answer:

There are multiple ways to do so:

You can divide the number by 100 to convert it to a decimal

You could take your percentage and add a decimal two places to the left.

Examples of both:

For division its as simple as 75 divided by 100 = 0.75

If we are going to use the decimal method, lets say we have 45%, so we can do this:

45% =45.00

Move the decimal two places to the left.

0.45

The temperature, HH, in degrees Celsius, of a cup of coffee placed on the kitchen counter is given by H=f(t)H=f(t), where tt is
hjlf

Answer:

A) f'(t) is negative

B) degc/min

c ) At 20 minutes after the coffee was put on the counter its temperature is  56degc   and will decrease by about  1.125   in the next 45 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

A ) f'(t)  is Negative because as the cup of coffee is placed on the counter there is loss of heat from the cup of coffee to the surrounding as t increases hence f'(t) is negative

B ) The units of  f'(20) = degc/min

C)  At ║f'(20)║ = 1.5 and f'(20) = 56

║f'(20)║ = 1.5 represents the rate of change of temp every 20 minutes = 1.5

  therefore after 45 seconds = 3/4 mins. change in temp = (3/4 * 1.5) = 1.125

At 20 minutes after the coffee was put on the counter its temperature is  56degc   and will decrease by about  1.125   in the next 45 seconds

How far do US workers travel to get to their jobs? To estimate the average distance workers travel, a website includes a survey
victus00 [196]

Answer:  The population is all US workers. The sample is adults who respond to the survey.

Step-by-step explanation: The population is the intended group that the question is about, all U.S. workers.

The sample is a small portion if that group, as it would be practically impossible to get data from everyone,

This sample is the adults who responded to this sutvey.

The sample might not be an accurate cross section of all workers, depending on how the website ensures that it includes appropriate segments of urban, suburban, and rural dwellers, from various regions of the country, and from different economic groups.
