Answer:
B. social
Explanation:
The excerpt represents a social letter. We can come to this conclusion because the letter has a friendly and easy-to-understand language that retains the "Mr" and "Mrs" titles, which shows that the letter is not informal. Also, the author of the letter is thanking the hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Brothers and not dealing with business, this shows that this is not a business letter.

Rukmani is the narrator and protagonist of the novel. She recalls with clarity and unflinching honesty the choices and decisions that have brought her both joy and despair. Her father taught her to read and write, and she later passes these valuable skills on to her children. She a great love for beauty and the land. She is not bery beautiful herself but, she is loving, hardworking, thrifty, and patient. She can also be violent when pushed too far.
Kenny is doctor who ministers to the people in the village. There was a moment when Kenny had helped Rukmani overcome her infertility, which made her forever grateful, and the two then became friends. Kenny is mysterious, private, moody, and sometimes sharp-tongued, yet he does what he can from time to time to help Rukmani’s family. He is tall and gaunt and his eyes are the color of a kingfisher’s wing, neither blue nor green!
