You have to find a common number divisible by both numbers of the fraction until you cannot divide the numbers of the fraction any more. So on your problem 18/42 start by dividing both numbers by say 2
18 divided by 2 gives you 9
42 divided by to gives you 21
Then try dividing them again say by 3
9 divided by 3 gives you 3
21 divided by 3 gives you 7
If you try dividing again you will see that you can no longer divide it so 3/7 would be your answer. I hope that helps.

Using diagonals from a common vertex, how many triangles could be formed from a 20-gon?
vodka [1.7K]

Answer: 320 triangles

Step-by-step explanation: Triangles can be drawn utilizing one side of the polygon. In the event that we take one side, at that point there are a add up to of 16 triangles that can be drawn and we have 20 sides. So, add up to 20×16=320 triangles.

The equation for line g is given by 5y=2x-20. Suppose line g is parallel to like r and line e is perpendicular to line g. Point
VladimirAG [237]
Sounds as tho' all three lines are parallel. Is that correct?

If so, all three lines have the same slope!

What is the slope of   5y=2x-20  ?     Solving for y, y = (2/5)x - 4

The slope is (2/5).

Now find the equation of the line with slope (2/5) that passes thru (10,-8).

It is    y - [-8] = (2/5)(x - 10).

We can simplify this, with the result   y + 8 = (2/5)x - 4.  This, in turn, can be simplified to y + 8 = 2x/5 - 4,                  or   y = 2x/5 - 12.  Mult. all terms by 5 to eliminate the fraction:

5y = 2x - 60

Note how this has the exact same form as the given 5y = 2x - 20, EXCEPT that the constant at the end is different.

5y = 2x - 60    and    5y = 2x - 20 are parallel lines with the same slope but different y-intercepts.

Hi there! :)

Answer:

x>24

*The answer must have a positive sign and greater than symbol sign.*

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you switch sides.

x+18>42

Then, you subtract by 18 from both sides of an equation.

x+18-18>42-18

Finally, you subtract by the numbers from left to right.

42-18=24

Final answer is x>24

I hope this helps you!

Have a nice day! :)

I’m not sure this one one of the options (since they’re a little hard to decipher) but I got: y = log base 6 of x
