The kind of fallacy that it is possible to appreciate between lines in this case is the <em>ad ignorantiam</em>, in which it is taken for granted that the information provided is true once the opposite cannot be demonstrated. Besides, it is also possible to see it as a fallacy of the <em>ad consequentiam</em> type, where the validity of the idea depends or not on whether the result of the information is desirable or not.
