To write a research essay you must first find a topic.
Then you must gather information related to that tropic from reliable sources. These sources can include, but are not limited to, books, articles, magazines, websites, and many more. Don't forget your citations!
I usually pick a few main topics and then have multiple statements about each topic.
Next, you must organize your newly gather information and write it into a rough draft.
Once you have your basic information written, reread and revise your essay for any errors or inconsistencies.
Include your citations and resources on the final, separate page of your essay.
Here is a format I used all the way from 7th grade until I graduated high school, it works like a charm.
