When you use refusal skills, it is important to be kind and assertive when telling someone  why you do not want to do anything. Use respectful body language, when talking, you do not want to be seen as aggressive to someone. Refusal skills and strategies are important because there are many kinds of decisions that you will need to make, it could either affect your well being or someone else. One example is a refusal to drugs because, sticking to your own beliefs is always a good thing; NOT your friends, they do not live in your body and have to live with the consequences in the long run.
