Dear Shan,
I am happy to receive your letter. You have wanted to know about my aim in life. You know that most of the people in our country are poor and uneducated. Financially, they are deprived of such treatment. Moreover, there is a dearth of good doctors in our country as compared to the population. Thousands of poor people are dying prematurely due to lack of treatment. With all this in mind, I decided to become a doctor and devote myself to the service of the country. I will continue to work tirelessly to achieve good results. I made this decision thinking about the plight of the miserable people. Because, I think the service of humanity is the absolute vow of life.
No more today.

Answer:
The reason why is because the author wants us to see how to accept change rather than falling out this is because now these day many people feel the mood not to like this person just because of judging on what they look like or there personality so i like the quote 'we think we know our friends' giving connotations to know them personally . Therefore we understand that it is better to have happiness rather than the anger and guilt of loosing a friend we truly like. hope this helps :)
