I believe that diary writing is a very impactful way of writing. It lets you get up close and personal with whoever has written the diary, and gives you a first person p.o.v! It's almost like having a personal conversation with whoever wrote it. Because I have a well understanding of how a certain person feels about a certain topic, it does make it memorable. I personally enjoy understanding how a protagonist feels about certain situations. The p.o.v certainly does make it tons more interesting as well.
