Answer:

See below

Explanation:

1. Write sentences about the future using will/won't.

(1) Our teacher <u>will</u> ride a bike to school tomorrow.

(2) I <u>will</u> fly in a plane one day.

(3) My gran <u>won't</u> drive a van at the weekend.

(4) My friends and I <u>will</u> catch a bus soon.

(5) I <u>won't</u> sail on a boat next year.

2. Read the <em>Top Gear</em> article. Complete each space with <em>'m, is, are or will/won't</em>.

I'm staying in this evening because my favourite programme is on TV at 8 p.m. Tonight's <em>Top Gear</em> programme 1) <u>is</u> showing a very unusual race. The TV presenters 2) <u>are</u> racing two amazing, expensive vehicles: a Bugatti Veyron, which costs about £880,000, and a Eurofighter Typhoon plane, wich costs £67 million! The car will drive 1.6 kilometers along an airport runway, and then it will turn round and race back. The plane 3) <u>will</u> fly 1.6 kilometres straigh up into the sky and then it 4) <u>will</u> turn around and race back down to Earth!

At top speed, the Veyron will reach about 400 kilometres per hour. The Typhoon 5) <u>will</u> travel at about 2400 kilometres per hour! Which vehicle will win? Nobody knows, but it definitely 6) <u>won't</u> be boring! I 7) <u>'m</u> looking forward to it!

3. Write one to four words to complete the sentences about the article.

I can't see the sentences that you have to complete.

4. Write about what car/transport you will have when you're older. Think about these things:

  • What type of car or transport will you have?
  • What colour will it be?
  • How much will it cost?
  • Will your parents/friends like it?

When I'm older I will have a Jeep (Wrangler). It will be colour black, because I like how it shines in black. Right now it costs about £21,921 but I think it'll be more expensive when I buy it. Everyone will like it!

ratelena [41]

The answer is:

At age nine, students began learning Latin, which was the language of international affairs.

Relative clauses provide additional information about something that has already been mentioned. In this case, the subordinate relative clause "which was the language of international affairs," makes a further comment about the previously mentioned Latin language.

Write 2 pairs of sentences with the same proposition and 2 with different ones (SEMANTIC)
Lorico [155]

Answer:

I bought two chocolate cakes at the cafeteria on the bar.

I'm spending the weekend at the resort in the neighboring town.

My dog likes to walk with a red collar.

I can send the documents to you on Saturday.

Explanation:

Prepositions are invariant words that allow a link to be presented between two words within a sentence, causing a relationship of sense and dependence between them that is capable of providing coherence for the clauses that make up the sentence. Some of the words that are used as prepositions are "in," "at," "on," "of," and "to." In the sentences presented in the question above, we can see the prepositions marked in bold.
