A setting is very important to any type of story, especially a short story. It can add the overall mood to what you are reading. For example, if you were to say "She's reading" that wouldn't be very appealing to readers. If you said "She was reading in a gloomy, lugubrious room in the dark corner, glancing through every line she could." That would be more interesting. I don't know if this was an answer you were looking for, but let me know if this helped.

Nearly everything he says directly indicates the speaker's deeply jealous nature.
However, the speaker indirectly indicates his jealous nature early in the poem, when he remarks that he keeps her painting behind a curtain that only he may touch.
Simplifying
5(t + 7) = 2(2t + 7)
Reorder the terms:
5(7 + t) = 2(2t + 7)
(7 * 5 + t * 5) = 2(2t + 7)
(35 + 5t) = 2(2t + 7)
Reorder the terms:
35 + 5t = 2(7 + 2t)
35 + 5t = (7 * 2 + 2t * 2)
35 + 5t = (14 + 4t)
Solving
35 + 5t = 14 + 4t
Solving for variable 't'.
Move all terms containing t to the left, all other terms to the right.
Add '-4t' to each side of the equation.
35 + 5t + -4t = 14 + 4t + -4t
Combine like terms: 5t + -4t = 1t
35 + 1t = 14 + 4t + -4t
Combine like terms: 4t + -4t = 0
35 + 1t = 14 + 0
35 + 1t = 14
Add '-35' to each side of the equation.
35 + -35 + 1t = 14 + -35
Combine like terms: 35 + -35 = 0
0 + 1t = 14 + -35
1t = 14 + -35
Combine like terms: 14 + -35 = -21
1t = -21
Divide each side by '1'.
t = -21
Simplifying
t = -21
