Suspense

We heard a noise from the room which was known as the "haunted room" and for a moment, we all froze. I was usually not moved by fear easily so I immediately tried to rationalise it.

We had a second of awkward silence before all of us decided to check it out. Barry and I had barely moved two steps when the lights of the house immediately went off and we began to hear the rustle of leaves.

We brought out our light and when we turned towards the exit door, we saw a cat with bloodshot eyes and we immediately screamed at the top of our lungs and ran away.
