sdas [7]
The correct answer is 1. display rules.
Display rules is a term describing informal rules about the way, the time and the place that a person should express and communicate his/her emotions. These rules are not set since they differ greatly depending on the culture and the society. In this example, Jessica showed exaggerated excitement when hearing about her friend's engagement. This is because according to the display rules these were news that should make her very happy.

The tort of false imprisonment: a. is also known as the "shopkeeper's tort." b. requires proof of emotional distress. c. require
elena-s [515]

Answer: a. is also known as the "shopkeeper's tort."

Explanation:

What does false imprisonment mean?

This refers to an act of restraining someone in an area where they can not get our such as keeping them in a locked house without their consent with an intention of keeping them as your prisoner since they are kept in a restrictive area.

A tort refers to doing something that expose someone to injury and which can be counted as a civil wrong act or not doing something that can save them from injury. Under tort "injury" refers to invading someone's right whereas harm refers to a loss caused to an individual.

What does shopkeeper tort refers to , I believe this is taken from shopkeeper's privilege law which is used in the United States to restrain someone who stole in your shop for a period of time as long as there is sufficient proof that they stole from your shop.

When a country has a large population, but very little arable land, what challenges might it experience?
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

There might be a problem with food, good living space, and poverty.

Explanation:

The overpopulation of this kind can result in a lack of food and lack of suitable living space for people. This can end up in poverty as well.

The country might not have enough land to harvest enough plant food or raise the cattle and other animals for animal-based products. People might not have enough to eat. County can end up importing more and more food. If the country is not rich in the first place, this will cost them a lot and food can become expensive. This can result in loss of money both for the country and people.

The land also can become very expensive if there is not enough of it. People might end up living in very small and crowded places. Anything bigger and more suitable for leisure living would be too expensive for people. We see that Japan, while a very rich and developed country, has a lack of living space in overcrowded cities such as Tokyo. People live in very small apartments while paying a lot for the living space.

Identify three social problems, such as child labor or tenement housing, discussed in the lesson and research ways in which gove
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

Child Labor

Health Hazards

Tenement Housing

Explanation:

Why was there a need for reform for this social problem?

Children should not be doing the work of adults. They are still developing and could endure many injuries doing this work. Their work environments were hazardous and affected them.

How was the problem addressed during the Industrial Age?

It was addressed by the fair labor standards act which was successful in making child labor illegal.

Was the Social Problem addressed successfully? Be sure to support your opinion with evidence from the lesson or your research.

I believe that the social problem was addressed successfully because it completely stopped the issue. There were no more large-scale cases in which this continued legally in the U.S.

Why was there a need for reform for this social problem?

This was also a very important issue to address. Many people got sick and died due to the unsanitary environment they abided in. If this wasn’t addressed people would continue to get ill and die.

How was the problem addressed during the Industrial Age?

The cities eventually introduced filtration and chlorination systems to be able to improve the water quality and safety.

Was the Social Problem addressed successfully? Be sure to support your opinion with evidence from the lesson or your research.

I believe it was partially successful because the water was cleaner but still not very safe. Entering the 20th century many people did not have completely safe water.

Why was there a need for reform for this social problem?

This needed to be reformed because the people living in the tenement houses lived in very poor conditions. It was an unsanitary dangerous way of living. They did not have basic necessities and had to share the few they did have with many others.

How was the problem addressed during the Industrial Age?

The problem was not really addressed. More buildings were built for tenement housing because the owners noticed they would profit more by renting to more people in smaller spaces.

Was the Social Problem addressed successfully? Be sure to support your opinion with evidence from the lesson or your research.

I believe this social problem was addressed poorly because it wasn’t really addressed at all. As time went on, they were no longer as popular and were no longer in use. But that wasn’t due to any action taken to improve or change the housing.
