The author would present his opinion by using arguments intended to convince the audience of supporting him. This is an example of argumentation.
When looking at sources on the internet, it is important to make sure that these are credible. Credible sources usually present extensive research performed by experts. These sources also tend to be peer-reviewed, and to present research that follows the accepted norms of science.
