zalisa [80]

Answer:

1The art of letter writing seems to have declined sharply in recent years.

Shape and pattern type : the information has been organised in terms of cause-effect, however, the topic sentence has the effect and the other sentences unfold the possible causes. This is a top down approach.

Explanation:

The topic sentence holds the most important idea: the fact the art of writing has turned rapidly into an activity from the past has been well noticed in recent years: effect. Then, these are the possible causes: the high cost of stationary and postage; people's lack of time for writing; change of means of communicating with friends; and the instant access to friends and family members through other means of communication.

Which contains an error in logic as worded?
Alexandra [31]

The example that contains an error in logic as worded is:

D. Mark's usual reason for not turning in his homework was because he forgot his backpack.

Here, we have an adverb of reason (because), which functions as a subordinating conjunction and makes up an adverbial clause of reason. Using the word "because" after previously using the word "reason", implicates some sort of redundancy.

The logical structure to express this idea would be the following:

D. Mark's usual reason for not turning in his homework was that he forgot his backpack.

Reaching the gate, Odysseus and the forester
Maslowich
This excerpt probably should have included the verse following it, which is "Here is Odysseus' hall, no hall like this!" So they are standing at the gate at the home of Odysseus.

He has in fact made a long journey home, so B could be correct. The journey did require patience and endurance, so A could be correct. But I would go with D, happiness upon returning home.

A reasonable argument could be made for all of the above. Symbolism can be subjective, and each reader may interpret things differently.

In what way does research add clarity during discussions
Mashutka [201]

Answer:

C

Explanation:

Let's use the elimination process. It would not be A because research is not opinions, it is facts. It would not be B because that answer is simply absurd. It would not be D because that also makes no sense. So its C.
