The correct answer is D. The company manufactured napalm

Explanation:

The Dow Chemical Company is a multinational corporation of chemicals that was created in 1897 in the U.S. but nowadays produces chemical and other products such as plastics in multiple countries all around the world. However, this company has been linked to multiple controversies since it was founded, one most important ones occurred during the Vietnam War (1955-1975), in which the north of Vietnam fought against the south and the south was supported by the U.S.

During this war, the Dow Chemical Company became the only provider of napalm, which is a mixture of substances that work as a powerful bomb and a controversial antipersonnel weapon due to its effects not only on soldiers but on civilians. This made Americans and especially anti-war movements attack the company and lead protests against the production of napalm, but the company continued with the production of it until 1969 and the U.S. use this substance during almost all the war. Thus, from the options provided the reason why some Americans attack Dow Chemical was because the company manufactured napalm.
