Answer: C) the possibility of Adams failure and having a lot of debt to repay.
In "The 1,000,000 Bank-Note," we meet Henry Adams, a man who has been given a 1,000,000 bank-note, but is unable to exchange it. However, the simple fact of being in possession of it proves extremely beneficial, as no one doubts his wealth and everyone is willing to loan him money and give him opportunities. Eventually, he meets Portia, and realizes that she is a cheerful person. He is thankful for her personality, as he believes that it is possible that all his deception will be discovered, and he will have a lot of money to repay.
The answer is that "She states that if the constitution can guarantee certain rights to racial and ethnic minorities, then it must give women of all races the right to vote".
Answer:
You’re in your late 20’s or early 30’s. Now imagine the life you have with your partner summarized in tiny bursts of sentences from today to a point 30 or 40 years in the future. Got it? Can’t picture it? Well, if you can’t visualize that concept, don’t worry; instead, read “Here We Aren’t, So Quickly” by Jonathan Safran Foer.
The starts out in the first person for the first paragraph and then moves to the second person in the second paragraph. The you in the story being the narrator’s girlfriend/wife. After these first paragraphs the story then alternates voices or perspective every few sentences. At times, this switching becomes fatiguing, but in a story that is two pages long, it works. We watch as these people age, grow closer, and change. Throughout the process, their fears, anxieties and idiosyncrasies are laid out for the reader to peruse, like a yard sale of emotion.
What I like about this story is that it tries to do something new. Whether or not it’s successful is up to the reader. One thing I think about is does the story stay with me? “Here We Aren’t, So Quickly” may not fit into a neat category, but it stays with the reader long after closing the pages. For that reason, it’s a success.
Explanation:
We can infer that he can communicate scientific issues “at its nearest distance only 35,00,00 of miles sunward of them” . He is an intelligent person and has done some research into the topic “And looking across the space with instruments and intelligences that we have scarcely dreamed of...” He is a detached and unemotional person who mostly focuses on the facts.
The narrator may also be described as well-educated for he uses long fancy words “with a cloudy atmosphere eloquent of fertility” and complex descriptions “..with glimpses through..navy-crowded seas”.
