<h2>Given↷</h2>
  • Mean = 30
  • Standard deviation = 1.9

  • Data value = 27.87
<h2>To find↷</h2>

  • Number of watermelons out of 400 produced melons ,which will weigh < 27.87 pounds
<h2>Answer↷</h2>
  • 52
<h2>Solution↷</h2>

We know that,

\rightarrow \: z =  \frac{x -  \mu}{\sigma}  \\

  • z = standard score
  • x = measuring value
  • μ = mean
  • σ =standard derivation

inserting the given values in the formula

\rightarrow \: z =  \frac{27.87 -  30}{1.9}   \\\rightarrow \: z =  - 1.121

Area that's left to z = -1.121

Area that's left to -1.121 = 0.1311

= 13.11%

Hence ,

13.11% of the watermelons weigh less than 27.87 pounds

To find the number of watermelons,

We'll find 13.11% of 400

= 13.11% x 400

= 13.11/100 x 400

= 52.44

hence , approx 52 watermelons would be lesser than 27.87 pounds

Farida bought 20 stamps consisting of 20 sen stamps and 60 sen stamps. The total cost of the stamps is RM8.80. How many 20 sej s
krek1111 [17]

Answer:

# of 20cent stamps = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the  number 20cent stamps be = x

Let the number 60 cents stamps be = y

Total number of stamps => 20 = x + y ----------- ( 1 )

Total cost of the stamps = 8.80

That is, 0.20x + 0.60y = 8.80 ------------- ( 2 )

      ( 2 ) => 20x + 60y = 880

            => x + 3y = 44

           =>  x = 44 - 3y

Substitute x in  ( 1 ) => x  +  y = 20

                                 44 - 3y + y = 20

                                     - 2y = 20 - 44

                                     - 2y = - 24

                                       2y = 24

                                       y = 12

Substitute y = 12 in  ( 1 ) => x + y = 20

                                         x + 12 = 20

                                            x = 8

Use the model to solve for x.
Vitek1552 [10]
Answer:No solution
Explanation: There is no solution because x was eliminated in the last step of solving for x. Since we were left with x not being available to equal three, it shows it’s a no solution problem. Hope this helped!

Solve for y please!!!!!!!!!!!!
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:

y=3r-230

Step-by-step explanation:

Subtract the 3r from the first aide to put it along with the 230. Then, we must divide both sides by negative 1 to get y by itself. This gives us y=3r-230.
