Answer:

Propaganda has been an effective and important tool to shape public opinion and action. Various propaganda techniques based on social psychological research are used to generate information and publicity. Some of these techniques may be classified as logical fallacies, since propagandists who cannot fight using facts and data use arguments that are necessarily valid.

Manipulation and propaganda war can be organized or unorganized, conscious or unconscious, and is usually politically and socially motivated. The concept reaches from systematic state propaganda to shape and manipulate public opinion to sociological propaganda where the unconscious desire to be manipulated and self-manipulation leads the individual to adapt to the socially expected thoughts and behaviours.

Awareness against Propaganda techniques

Knowing the different propaganda techniques will increase your consciousness and your guard against manipulation. You will be able to protect your mind and discern what is true.

 • Be abreast of news and observe what is happening in the environment. It is most important so you will know how to determine which is news and propaganda
 • Know the objective of the propagandists. Dig deep on the issue
 • Always advance the interest of the people. When there is so much noise around, go back to the basic questions and motivations.
 • Is it the truth?
 • Is it for the betterment of the people and society as a whole?

In 250-300 words, discuss how the incident with the rabid dog ties in to the broader themes of the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird
Bond [772]

The broader themes of To Kill a Mockingbird have to do with good and evil. The novel examines how our perception of good people and bad people change as we grow up. The different qualities of good and evil are not necessarily separated or unrelated, nor there are people who are entirely good or evil. Both elements can be found in every single individual.

The one character who understands this is Atticus Finch, who is involved with different themes of the novel and is able to identify it on the people that surround him. He is also involved in the mad/rabid dog incident.

An important theme of the novel is courage, which can be found in characters that show negative (or evil) values such as racism. For instance, Mrs. Dubose is admired by Atticus for being courageous, but at the same time he condemns her racism.

The rabid dog has been said to represent the racism Atticus has to fight in the town, without the help of other white citizens.

Courage is also shown in the incident with the rabid dog as one of the many qualities that Atticus has, and also one of the reasons he is recognized by others as a protector, not only from the rabid dog, but from evil itself.

The rabid dog incident can also be tied with another recurring theme: injustice. The way Tom Robinson is judged is not fair, but Atticus will be there to defend him, even though he doesn't have to do it. Just the way he must eliminate the rabid dog on his own.

Please help!! I need to write an acceptable length argumentative essay with this topic
barxatty [35]

Answer:

Participation trophies should not be awarded because it wouldn't allow younger children to learn how to lose. If you were to give a child a participation award, they may grow up expecting to win some sort of reward simply for doing anything. In other words, they won't be able to learn how to properly handle losing. Another thing is that it may send the wrong message to children. Because it is called a "participation trophy", some kids may think that all they have to do is be there and not have to put any effort into trying. If this is what they believe then they may be shocked to learn that that is not how rewards works in the real world. A perfect example would be the workforce. Jobs and monetary bonuses are only given to the best workers not just random people who showed up.
