Answer:

use Pythagoras theorem

Step-by-step explanation:

  • get the opposite square it plus the adjacent side square it also should be equal to the hypotune squared also
  • x² + (X +17)²= 25² expand (X+17)²
  • x² + x² + 17² + 34x = 625
  • 2x² + 34x + 289 = 625 get 625 minus 289
  • 2x² + 34 x = 336 divide through by 2
  • X²+ 17 X = 168
  • solve the quadratic equation using any method
  • if I use bulldozer method
  • a=1 b=17 c=-168
  • put in that quadratic formula

x=7 or X=-24 but for second value of X is not correct since you can not have a negative length for opposite side

therefore take X=7 as the answer

LaTesha and Bernard are playing a game. Their scores for five games are shown in the table below. LaTesha’s and Bernard’s Scores
andre [41]

Answer:

The means differ by 1, but the ranges differ by 40.

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean for LaTesha's score is (92+45+67+36+80)/5= 64

The mean for Benards score is (63+68+62+69+53)/5= 63

The range for LaTeshas score is 92-36=56

The range for Benards score is 69-53=16

So, 64-63=1     and        56-16= 40

nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

B, 70pi ft2

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation to find surface area of a cylinder is 2(pi)(r)(h)+2(pi)(r)^2. So now plug the numbers in.. 2(pi)(5)(2)+2(pi)(5)^2 now, simplify. 20pi+50pi= 70pi ft2.
