Answer:

The Maya created arable land by using a "slash-and-burn" technique to clear the forests. They planted maize and secondary crops such as beans, squash, and tobacco. In the highlands to the west, they terraced the slopes on mountainsides; in the lowlands, they cleared the jungle for planting.

Give examples of people and places impacted by the desire for mineral wealth, economic opportunities, and religious refuge on we
Delvig [45]

Taking into account the statement above: "Give examples of people and places impacted by the desire for mineral wealth, economic opportunities, and religious refuge on westward migration in the early 19th century"

The answer is: The California Gold Rush and other rushes in Nevada, Colorado, and the Dakota. Thousands of men towards the West in search of mineral wealth resulted in a large rush of migration. The irish and German immigrants migrated West in search of cheap, fertile farmland that they could establish homesteads on and work to make a steady living. Also, the Irish also sought religious freedom, as they faced a lot of persecution due to their Roman Catholic faith. In addition, many pioneer families moved west to start homesteads and develop rural communities with schools in areas such as California and Oregon.

Hope this helps.

Rosa Parks's arrest and trial led to the ______. Montgomery bus boycott March on Washington Selma march sit-in movement
KonstantinChe [14]
Rosa Parks's arrest and trial led to the Montgomery bus boycott. Rosa Parks was an African-American woman who refused to sit in the back of the bus where African-Americans were forced to sit and to give up her seat in the front of the bus. She later became an activist. Montgomery was a very segregated city in Louisiana and the Montgomery bus boycott was when African-Americans refused to ride the bus and this was very representative, because African-Americans were a big part of the economy and since they were not paying for the buses, the buses were losing about half of its customers and half of its revenue. The Montgomery bus boycott was very important in the Civil Rights Movement.
