Some of the points which a staunch traditionalist can give in favor of his beliefs are:

 • The way of doing things in the past was better and there was better morality.
 • The people lived longer and were healthier.
 • There was more accountability.
 • There was a stronger sense of family and bond.

What is Modernity?

This simply refers to the new ways of doing things that are considered better than the older, more traditional ways of doing things.

Hence, we can note that a staunch traditionalist would be of the view that modern ways of living and behavior has been detrimental to not only families, as there has been high rate of divorces, but also that moral decadence is the order of the day.
