The animals are squirrel and jaguar.

In the book, the jaguar is likened to the flame because it crawls and jumps to different places. The squirrel is compared to smoke because it climbs the tree and jumps from branch to branch.

Squirrel and jaguar

The smoke is compared to a squirrel as it creeps up the side of a tree and then seemed to jump to a branch on another tree. The flame is compared to a jaguar, as it looked like it was creeping along on its belly and hopping out to different places.

Answer:

In Shakespeare's "Hamlet," I think the climax of the story occurs when the protagonist kills Polonius. The reason is that moment is the most intense scene of the play, since Hamlet now must face terrible consequences as a result of his violent impulse and mistake.
