Artemidorus: (Pushing the Soothsayer to one side, he shouts. ) Hail, Caesar! (He puts his scroll into Caesar's hands. ) Read this schedule. Decius: (Putting another scroll into Caesar's hands) Trebonius doth desire you to read his suit. Artemidorus: 0 Caesar, read mine first. (He shrieks with fear. ) Read it instantly. Caesar: (Frowning) What, is the fellow mad? (As Decius pushes Artemidorus away, Caesar goes to the center of the stage, close to Pompey's statue. )
Cassius: (Nervously to Gasca, who is to stab Caesar first. ) Casca, be sudden, for we fear prevention. Brutus: (Calming Cassius) Cassius, be constant. Why does Artemidorus push aside the Soothsayer in Act III ?
