Answer:

The mean hourly snowfall is 2.5 centimeters

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean hourly snowfall is the number of centimeters that fell during the period divided by the number of hours.

From 5 P.M. to 9 P.M., there are 4 hours

At 5 P.M., the total snowfall is 2 centimeters.

At 9 P.M., the total snowfall is 12 centimeters.

So in those four hours, the depth of snow increases 12-2 = 10 centimeters

10/4 = 2.5

The mean hourly snowfall is 2.5 centimeters

How do I turn two points into slope intercept form
inna [77]
You use those points and first find the sloope. so change in y over change in x

then once you find the slope. you plug in the points into y=mx+b
ex: if you figured out that m=1 (the slope)
then y= 1x +b..so then say you know that one point is 1,1
so 1=1(1)+b so then b =1////
hope this helps

One owl has a wingspan of 1⁄2 foot. A second owl's wingspan is 3⁄4 foot. How much longer is the wingspan of the second owl?
butalik [34]
To find the second owl's wingspan, we need to subtract 1/2 from 3/4.

First, we'll need to find the common denominator:

1/2 = 2/4

Then, we can subtract.

3/4 - 2/4 = 1/4

With this, we now know that 1/4 is the answer.

Marcia is 1.5 meters tall. she casts a shadow that is 2 meters long. a nearby building casts a shadow that is 24 meters long. ho
ankoles [38]
Ratio and proportion

height:shadow=1.5:2

for the building, shadow=24

1.5:2=h:24
1.5/2=h/24
multiply both sides by 24
36/2=h
18=h
the building is 18 meters
