I believe the answer is: because many people still struggle with the age-old question of what it means to be a good person

Currently, most people based their perception on what considered to be good through the guidance from their religion or the social agreement that commonly acknowledged by the society where we grew up. But we cannot deny that the standard of right or wrong could be extremely differ if we look at different religion or different culture.
