The perimeter of the original figure (P₀) will be

$\rm P_o = 3 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 4\\\\P_o = 20 \ ft$

The scale factor is 2.5.

Then the dimension of the triangle will be

h = 2.5 × 3 = 7.5 ft

b = 2.5 × 5 = 12.5 ft

Then the dimension of the square will be

a = 2.5 × 4

a = 10 ft

The area of the new figure will be

$\rm A = \dfrac{1}{2} \times 7.5\times 12.5 + 10*10\\\\ A = 146.875 \ ft^2$

The perimeter of the new figure will be
