The difference in density between the two tissues occur because the areola tissue contains more fibroblasts than adipocytes which will therefore lead to a higher density level than the adipose tissue.

A micrograph is a photograph of a image that is magnified through the use of a microscope.

Areola tissue is the most abundant tissue in the body that helps to support and bind other tissues together.

This is because it contains fibres, ground substances and fibroblasts.

Adipose tissue contains adipocytes which are also called fat cells where lipids are stored for body energy use.

Fibroblasts are usually found in connective tissues which secretes and contains collagen proteins,including collagens I and III, that provides support to the connective tissue.

Adipocytes are fat cells found mainly in the adipose tissues and they contain less collage proteins.

Therefore, since areola tissue contains more fibroblasts than adipocytes, this will therefore lead to a higher density level than the adipose tissue.
