People were talking badly about the Finch family because they were a rich white family and one of its members decided to defend a black man.

Who are the Finches in the book To Kill A Mockingbird?

The Finches are a rich family who live in Alabama. The members of this family are:

 • Atticus
 • Jem
 • Scout
 • Calpurnia
 • Alexandra
 • Jack

Why do people talk badly about them?

There are two reasons why people opposes The Finches:

 • They are a rich white family with priviledges many do not have specially because the story develops during the Great Depression.
 • Atticus decides to defend a black man. This is regarded as negative by most white families and even opposed by some black families.

Where in the library would you most likely find an encyclopedia?
kicyunya [14]
The best answer would be C) Reference section because if I were to walk in a library (which I have) I don't see encyclopedias in the fiction section cuz encyclopedias are REAL not fake, and an encyclopedia is NOT a biography book, and its not fiction either so its in the reference section.

Cerrena [4.2K]

Dialogue or in a personal narrative.

Explanation:

Informal language is used in dialogue to create more depth to a character (a good example is y'all, it connotates the character is from the South). In a personal narrative, a writer may use informal language to describe a feeling/talk about a personal experience. An example could be a writer talking about how they used to called there grandmother "meemaw".
