New pump:
5 hours = 1 pool
1 hour = 1/5 pool

Old pump:
15h = 1 pool
1h = 1/15 pool

If both work together
1h = 1/5 + 1/15 = 4/15 pool

4/15 pool = 1 hour
1/15 pool = 1/4 hour
15/15 pool = 1/4 x 15
1 pool = 3.75 hours or 3 hours 45 mins

A line has a slope of -3 and includes the point (-5,4) and (-7,q). What is the value of q
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

q = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{slope} =-3=\frac{q-4}{-7-(-5)} =\frac{q-4}{-2} \\\Longrightarrow -3=\frac{q-4}{-2} \\\Longrightarrow \left( -3\right)  \times \left( -2\right)  =q-4\\\Longrightarrow 6=q-4\\\Longrightarrow q=6+4\\\Longrightarrow q=10

The solution set to 6 + 2n > 12 is n > 3. Which are correct representations of this solution? Select two options.
s344n2d4d5 [400]

The correct representations of this solution are

  • (d) A number line going from negative 5 to positive 5. An open circle appears at positive 3. The number line is shaded from positive 3 to negative 5.
  • (e) (3, ∞)

<h3>How to determine the solution set?</h3>

The inequality is given as:

6 + 2n > 12

The solution is given as:

n > 3

When the above inequality is represented as an interval, we have:

(3, ∞)

Also, the inequality symbol > is represented using an open circle.

This means that the number line would use an open circle and the arrow would point right

Hence, the correct representations of this solution are (d) and (e)

Is 1 25 greater than 1.6
sweet-ann [11.9K]
No, on a number line, 1 would be the smallest, then 1.25 then 1.5 and then 1.6 and then 2.

True or false if n is an integer,then n is a whole number
IrinaK [193]
Its true because integers are negative and positive numbers including zero, and a whole number is a positive counting number including zero
