It was inhabited by people.

Prior to the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the Americas, and even the arrival of the Vikings, North America was inhabited by people that we now call Native Americans. It is believed that people first inhabited North America between 15 and 16 millennia ago, after crossing the land bridge between the Eurasian continent to the Americas (Bering Land Bridge Theory).

Which statement best describes a sphere of influence?
il63 [147K]

Answer:

Iran was independent, and Britain controlled trade in southern Iran

Explanation:

A Sphere of Influence is a region where some country or organization has some sort of exclusivity meant to serve the interests of powers outside the borders of the organization or country that controls it. The second and third options don't fit and seem to be more of a colonial situation. The first one doesn't really say anything. The fourth, though, clearly states that there was control over one area by an organization outside the borders.  Hope This Helps! Brainliest, Please?

The Roman Army was staffed by professional, career soldiers. Do you believe that this gave the Romans a military advantage? Expl
solong [7]

The success of the Roman army was based around the facts that it had excellent organization, great leadership, good training, good equipment, and that is was only consisted of professionals.

The Roman army had only professional soldiers in it. Not everyone was able to become soldiers, as certain physical criteria had to be fulfilled. The ones that became soldiers had training everyday. Tactical training, one to one combat, formation combat etc.

That led to the Roman army to be very successful in its military campaigns, especially because very often it was coming upon poorly organized armies, where most of the soldiers were either part-time soldiers, or just ordinary villagers.

What was a major difference between social reformers and socialists in the 18th & 19th centuries
Julli [10]

Socialists were in many ways looking for a radical change in the way society was structured. Their main goal was to re-build economic, political, philosophical and religious systems from scratch, neglecting everything related to the capitalist society they wanted to overcome. Because of this idea of re-installation, of decosntruction of all known models, socialists were utopian in their way of thinking and developing.

Social reformers on the other hand, understood the principles of socialist and communist societies but also the fact that their idea of democracy required winning state power. By slowly adapting the established system to their social reforms they could remain in power for long periods of time that could then be used to further transform and fix the issues presented by capitalism like lack of education, low wages and inequity.
