Answer:

Storm surges, rising sea level, development along coastal areas.

Explanation:

A storm surge, which is also known as a storm flood, tidal surge, or a storm tide,  is like a coastal flood, with rising water that is commonly associated with a few types of low pressure weather systems. During a storm surge, strong winds are produced which push water to the shore, causing flooding. These are a cause of coastal erosion because the high storm surges can shift the erosive force of a wave higher onto the beach. Rising sea level basically means there is an increase in the oceans, commonly caused by global warming. The Rising sea levels cause coastal erosion due to the ocean eroding the sand from the beaches. Development along coastal areas is a cause because as the sea level rises, waves at the higher elevation levels will increase coastal erosion.

Janis earns $7.00 per hour at Pizza King. After 6 months, her hourly pay of pay increased to $7.70 per hour. What is the percent
suter [353]

Answer: 10%

Explanation:

Given: Previous Hourly pay=  $7.00

Current Hourly pay = $7.70

Increase in hourly pay = Current Hourly pay  - Previous Hourly pay

= $7.70- $7.00

= $0.70

Now, the percent increase in her hourly rate of pay will be :

\dfrac{\text{Increase in hourly pay}}{\text{Previous Hourly pay}}\times100\%\\\\=\dfrac{0.70}{7}\times100\%\\\\=\dfrac{1}{10}\times100\%\\\\=10\%

Hence, the  percent increase in her hourly rate of pay = 10%
