According to the reading, the man in “To build a fire,” is someone lonely, inexperienced, brave, and stubborn.

How can these features be identified?

 • By reading the text.
 • With the interpretation of the personality of man.
 • With the interpretation of the scenario and the context of the story.

The man in this story decides to take a very long walk in the middle of a violent blizzard. Even with all the advice for him not to do that, he starts the walk without any equipment or resources to protect him.

This shows that the man is very brave but inexperienced and stubborn. He is also shown to be lonely, as he only has a dog as a sidekick.

Choose a PROVERB and explain what it means.
babymother [125]

Answer:

"A fool and his money are soon parted"

Explanation:

This proverb explains that no matter what, if you are a fool, you will not have money since you do not understand how to use it.

For example, how do you think a wise man would utilize his credit cards verses a foolish man? The wise man would be diligent to spend only what he could afford and make sure to pay back every penny, but the fool would spend it all right away.
