20. How does the example in paragraph 12 develop

English

We can infer here that the example that develops the concept of nature's rights in the text is the freedom to exist and flow.

Note that you never stated Paragraph 12.

What is nature's right?

Nature's rights actually refers to the legal theory that reveals the rights that are inherent with an ecosystem. This is similar to human rights.

Thus, in "When A River Is A Person", there are rights that are given to a river just like it's given to humans. Such rivers have the right to exist and flow.

How does edwards sway his audience? why do you think that this was effective?
PtichkaEL [24]
Edwards gave this sermon to his congregation in Enfield, CT, in 1741, during what is known as The Great Awakening in American religion, a period in which leaders of the church were hoping to re-instill religious convictions, which they felt were weakening, in their congregations. It is almost a shame, by the way, that Edwards is chiefly remembered for this harsh sermon--most of his writing and his service to the church was much more positive.
