Colonists’ reaction to this policy was that they rejected the king’s decision to limit the expansion of the colonies and viewed it as an act of tyranny. The royal proclamation of 1763 was very shunned among American invaders because they convinced that they had the right to gain more territory after combatting and winning the war against France.

EXPLANATION:

The Treaty of Paris, that marked the completion of the French and Indian Wars, gave Britain much valuable North American land. But the new land also raised many problems. The surrendered area, known as the Ohio Valley, was marked by the Appalachian Mountains to the east and the Mississippi River to the west.

Despite the achievement of this vast land, Britain tried to prevent the American colonies from settling there. The British were already having trouble managing a residential area to the east of Appalachia. Americans moving west would extend British administrative properties thin.

Furthermore, because the French government had surrendered the territory to the British, it did not mean that the French population in the Ohio Valley would easily surrender their claims on land or trade routes. The pockets of French settlers scattered about made Britain fearful of another persisted conflict. The war had been going on for a long time, and the British public was tired of paying bills.

In addition, Native Americans, who had affiliated themselves with France in the Seven Years’ War, continued to struggle after peace was achieved. The Pontiac revolt continued after imperial power reached a ceasefire.

The last items the British government desired were American invaders’ hordes crossing Appalachia which sparked the hatred of the French and Native Americans. The solution looked simply. The Royal Proclamation in 1763 was published, stating that the boundaries of settlements for residents of 13 colonies were Appalachia.

Answer:

Option D. the most accurately explanation of how colonists reacted to the Royal Proclamation was that they rejected the King's decision to limit the expansion of the colonies and viewed it as an act of tyranny.

Explanation:

The royal Proclamation of 1763 was very unpopular among the American colonists, as they believed they have earned the right to conquer more territory after fighting and winning the war against the French. In addition, the colonist viewed the King's decision as another way that the monarchy wanted to control the colonists in America and keep them under their orders. Therefore, they decided to reject the proclamation as they have rejected other official decisions in the past, like the mercantile laws.

How does Jefferson describe the effect of slavery on the morals and behavior of white Virginians
Morgarella [4.7K]

He bought and sold slaves and then lamented the degrading impact of slavery on white morals. He lived beyond his means, indulged himself in imported wines and furniture, and then sold away slaves to cover his debts while celebrating the moral clarity.
