The English Bill of Rights created a constitutional monarchy in England, meaning the king or queen acts as head of state but his or her powers are limited by law. Under this system, the monarchy couldn't rule without the consent of Parliament, and the people were given individual rights

He was able to use this drive to let him have the power over France. It was just like when the Church used religion to make citizens follow their orders and justify their actions. 

 \Napoleon used the Napoleonic Code, his creation, to unite the people and overthrow the monarchy in France. They finally felt that they have liberty, fraternity, and equality on their hands. He was able to stir the feelings of Nationalism. In addition to this, he also made several successful battles during the French Revolution. The unity of the people made them become a strong force in Europe. Napoleon was a symbol of Nationalism which eventually supported him to have the power.
