The way the third quatrain develops the central ideas in the first and second quatrains is that it extends beyond descriptions of sight and smell with descriptions of sound.

What can be said of the third quatrain?

In Sonnet 130, Shakespeare talks about how he loves to hear the voice of his lover even though music sounds nicer.

This adds to the ideas that the first and second quatrains had talked about because it included sound (her voice) instead of just sight and smell.
