Which word is the modifier in the sentence below? I slowly ate the pizza; it took me 20 minutes to finish a slice!
podryga [215]

Answer:

Slowly.

Explanation:

Modifiers are words, phrases, or clauses that modify other words in a sentence. This means that they help give 'extra' detail about the word they are modifying. Modifiers can either be an adjective or an adverb, depending on the word they modify.

In the given sentence<em> "I slowly ate the pizza; it took me 20 minutes to finish a slice"</em>, the modifying word is "slowly". This adverb modifies the verb "ate", thereby making it an adverbial clause. Adjective modifiers modify nouns while adverb modifiers modifier verb, another adverb, or an adjective.

Thus, the modifier in the sentence is "slowly".

What conclusion can be drawn from the details in this story?
Pani-rosa [81]

The conclusion is that in the end the park will be built even tough it is not in everybody's agenda. Some people, following Samara's proposal, are convinced of the benefits that the park would bring and work towards its construction, trying to share their point of view with other members of the community. The fact is that no one is actually against the park, parties who do not explicitly support it are just indiferent.

Therefore, there will be no opposition but only preassure made by park supporters so it will be built.
