ok even though the Japanese army were doing some really weird stuff like cannibalism, the United States still nuked a country twice, and they didn't really nuke the army they just nuked civilian populations.
The bombing was the deadliest domestic attack on the American people. It instilled a lot of fear into the people and made them feel as if their lives were in danger.
