Fifty years ago, a year after U.S. ground troops arrived in South Vietnam to help that country fight off the communist North Vietnamese, Gallup interviewers explained to Americans in a nationwide poll that "hawks" were people who wanted to step up the fighting in Vietnam, and "doves" were people who wanted to slow it down. Given these definitions, 47% of Americans described themselves as hawks and 26% as doves, while 27% couldn't say.

How did France change under napoleons rule
postnew [5]

<em>I will mention changes that under the Bonaparte government were carried out in France: </em>

<em> </em>

<em> Reestablished the political stability of France. </em>

<em> Created an infrastructure capable of boosting the business of the French bourgeoisie. </em>

<em> Pacify French society: allowed the entry of people who had left the country. </em>

<em> End feudalism and servitude and in return created a nobility of merit that included those considered competent and worthy of such position.  Boost economic liberalism, construction, education (schools were subject to a centralized administration, broad free education system so any citizen could attend high school without taking into account their religion or social class). </em>

<em> Stabilize taxes, created the Bank of France and the Commercial Code. </em>

<em></em><em> In order to reestablish relations with the church, Napoleon negotiated a Concordat with the Holy See in 1801, seeking reconciliation between the Catholic people and their regime. </em>

<em> I promote the arts (each State had an institute or academy aimed at its promotion), and the laws, giving rise to its famous civil code, this being one of its greatest legacies to humanity since it is inspiration to almost half of the political constitutions of the current world.</em>

Need help on government
kiruha [24]
Hello, the number of terms may vary per country, but seeing that the options match that of the US government, I will assume that the question is in the context of the United States.

4. In the US, each member of the House of Representatives is entitled to a two-year term. They can, however, be elected as a Representative for an unlimited number of times thus there is no limit to the number of terms they can serve.

ANSWER: H. House of Representatives

5. The choices presented in this item do not show a definite answer but we can just find the best choice through the process of elimination. Among those presented, we can only see a four-year term on that of the Executive Branch, with both President and Vice President serving four years in a single term.

ANSWER: A. Executive Branch

6. Finally, the part of the US government which is given a chance to serve for 6 years in a single term is the Senate. Like the members of the House of Representatives, Senators can also be re-elected for an unlimited number of times, however they just serve longer before needing to be re-elected.

ANSWER: J. Senate

WHO IS THIS?!?!<br> PLEASE HELP I GIVE THANKS
Maurinko [17]
That looks like General Pierre (I don't know his full name) who is often known as being a Confederate General.

He was born somewhere south around Louisiana and went to West point and became an engineer. He first went in the history books by serving under General Whitfield  in the Mexican war as of course, an engineer. He rose up in the ranks and became chief engineer. He then worked at West point and also an engineer for a railroad and eventually help drain parts of swamps in Louisiana.

But he later became a General in the Civil war.

Note: This is really the best I can do since I don't know too much about him.
