Which of the following is the best

English
1 answer:
Ierofanga [76]2 years ago
6 0

Answer:

D.

Explanation:

First of all, D gives the most detail in it's response so it can be clear that this choice most likely proves the most correct. Also, a thesis statement includes a hook which is meant to make the reader want to keep reading about the topic so if wind energy is the best renewable resource then you have to give good reasons to make it so that the reader agrees with you (<em>if in fact you are trying to persuade them</em>.) Lastly, if you put D into perspective, then you would find that if you were the reader here (<em>which i'm guessing you are</em>) that you would want to read about wind energy because it's the most inexpensive and accessible option rather than it just being cheap, interesting, or the easiest. Think about it, just because something's cheap doesn't make it good or just because something's interesting doesn't mean that it'll be worth your time, or <em>heaven forbid</em> if it's the easiest. These are all just bland details that might grab the attention, <em>of someone who doesn't care at all... </em>So in the end, yeah D is going to it best as a thesis statement for a persuasive essay because it's <em>actually</em> persuasive.

13. Which type of plot does The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien have? O The Rebirth
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

The Quest

Explanation:

<u>The Rebirth</u> – this is not the right answer. While The Lord of the Rings includes the rebirth of Gandalf in one moment, it’s not the main plot of the series.

<u> Voyage and Return</u> – this is not the correct answer. There is a  narrative of the voyage in the story. Still, this is only as part of the quest, and the return is not the central part of the plot.

<u>Overcoming the Monster</u> – this is not the right answer. Slaying the monster is not the most important task of the fellowship, nor the most important plot point.

<u> The Quest – this is the right answer.</u> <u>The fellowship has a quest to fulfill. This quest is destroying the ring by throwing it into the Mordor. The other points in the plot (including the rebirth, voyage, and slaying the various monsters) are all just side plots to the main thing that is the point of the whole series, which is the quest.</u>

sesenic [268]

Answer:

It wasn’t that long ago when outhouses where the norm. For thousands of years, some variant of the outhouse was the status quo. No one in their right mind dared to build their living space with indoor plumbing, even though the toilet was invented hundreds of years earlier in 1596. To use the latrine indoors would be crazy. Imagine the stink.

No, if you had to “go,” then you were required to exit the building, go down the path, watch out for snakes, spiders or alligators, and use the plank wooden shack in the backyard. This was the way it was for hundreds of years.

Finally, smart people like Thomas Jefferson — yes, one of our founding fathers — got tired of going outside and broke the mold by choosing to not settle for average. They didn’t care what other people thought about their disruptive indoor plumbing idea. They just figured out a way to make it work. Because of that, eventually indoor plumbing became the norm, despite the initial resistance and skepticism.

The question I have for you is what old pattern do you see that needs a disruption — a change over? Anything equivalent to outhouses that need to be challenged? Keep in mind that disruption is centered on a simple mindset of breaking average! If don’t break average you won’t breakthrough.
