You can decide to carry over the x squared or you can carry over the 25x and the 26, it does not matter which you chose to do as the answer will still be correct. For question 3 we have to first clear the brackets before we can ensure it is in the general format.

x(x +5) = x \times x \:  + x \times 5  \: which \:\: is \:  equal \: to \: {x}^{2}  + 5x

Therefore the new equation would be:

{x}^{2}  + 5x = 4 {x}^{2}  + 6

We do the same as we did in question 2.
