The Progressive-epoch was the period of political mends and social activism in the United States. The period between 1890 to 1920 is known as the Progressive epoch in the United States. Some of the main objectives of Progressives during this era were to end or eliminate the issues which were caused by Political Corruption, Immigration, Industrialization or Urbanization. The major objective of the Progressives was to endow women, right to vote. During this progressive era, there was an association named as National American Women Suffrage Association and this association was formed in the year 1890. The working of this association was to pass legislation related to the rights of women at the state and local levels. This union was the largest women association in the United States during that time and promoted women's right to vote. Efforts made by this association with regards to the right to vote for women proved to play an instrumental role and ratification of the 19th amendment of the constitution of the United States. Their view was that women should have equal say in the country and should have the right to choose the leader of the country just as men.
