The prompt requires you to explain how...therefore, you are required to write an explanatory essay.

How do you write an explanatory essay?

An explanatory essay's objective is to make an idea very clear to the reader.

An essay must typically have three parts:

 • Introduction
 • Body; and
 • Conclusion.

Commence by researching the text in-depth so that your response is apt and to the point.

Ensure that your claim is well introduced and links up with the body where it is explained.

The body must contain textual evidence to support your claims.

What other data do you think we could look at to help us gauge a country’s level of development? Why would it help?
babunello [35]
GDP, which we use right now, to see how many people have jobs, at what income, to decide how good the economy is. We could possibly use population density, as poorer countries/less developed countries tend to be more dense all around. Mainly economic things though, so GDP, income per capita. We use life expectancy, rate of literacy, freedom index..hope this helps
