Hey there!

4(2x + 3) ÷ 5y

= 4(2x) + 4(3) ÷ 5y

= 8x + 12 ÷ 5y

= (8x + 12) ÷ 5y

The [sum] appears when you’re ADDING

The [quotient] appears when you’re DIVIDING

The [product] appears when you’re MULTIPLYING

The [difference] appears when you’re SUBTRACTING

So, your sum is in the parentheses. 4 would be your product because you’re expressing it amongst the parentheses. The quotient would be the 5y (or the whole equation. It depends how you look the equation.). Your variable is x & y, whereas your coefficient is 4,2,3, & 5.

Good luck on your assignment & enjoy your day!

2 and 5 are coefficients

2x+3 is a sum

2x, 4, 3, and 5y are terms

(2x+3) ÷ 5y is a quotient

4(2x+3), 2x and 5y are products

2,4,5,x,y are factors

The triangles are similar
hoa [83]

Answer:

Part 1) x=16\ units

Part 2) x=23\ units

Part 3) AE=20\ units

Part 4) x= 6.25\ units

Part 5) x=26.67\ in

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 1) we know that

If two triangles are similar

then

the ratio of their corresponding sides are equal

so

In this problem

\frac{12}{3}=\frac{x}{4}\\\\3x=12*4\\ \\x=48/3\\ \\x=16\ units

Part 2) we know that

If two triangles are similar

then

the ratio of their corresponding sides are equal

so

In this problem

\frac{36}{12}=\frac{39}{(x-10)}\\\\3(x-10)=39\\ \\x=(39/3)+10\\ \\x=23\ units

Part 3) we know that

If two triangles are similar

then

the ratio of their corresponding sides are equal

so

In this problem

\frac{AB}{CD}=\frac{AE}{ED}

substitute the values

\frac{10}{4}=\frac{2x+10}{x+3}

2.5(x+3)=2x+10

2.5x+7.5=2x+10

2.5x-2x=10-7.5

0.5x=2.5

x=5\ units

AE=2x+10=2*5+10=20\ units

Part 4) we know that

If two triangles are similar

then

the ratio of their corresponding sides are equal

so

In this problem

\frac{4}{5}=\frac{5}{x}\\ \\4x=5*5\\ \\ x=25/4\\ \\ x= 6.25\ units

Part 5) we know that

If two triangles are similar

then

the ratio of their corresponding sides are equal

so

In this problem

\frac{30}{x}=\frac{45}{40}\\ \\45x=30*40\\ \\x=1,200/45\\ \\ x=26.67\ in

Multiplying and Dividing by Powers of 10 When multiplying a number by 10, move the decimal to the right. When multiplying a numb
just olya [345]

Answer:

Because we actually divide by 10 when a number is multiplied by 0.1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a be a number.

When we multiply a number by 10:

a \times 10 = 10 a (One '0' is increased in the number)

For example:

23 \times 10 = 230

Considering a decimal number:

2.3 \times 10 = 23

Multiplying a number with 0.1 (which is actually \frac{1}{10}) means dividing the number by 10.

23\times 0.1 =23\times \frac{1}{10}=2.3

Considering a decimal number:

2.3 \times 0.1 = 2.3 \times \frac{1}{10} = 0.23

<em>Therefore, When multiplying a number by 0.1, move the decimal to the left.</em>

Mice21 [21]

Answer:

The question says area of a square = 9 cm squared.

And they said if the sides are doubled in length what is the new length

so new length = 9 cm^2 × 9 cm^2

which should give you 81cm^2

therefore your answer should be = C
